The TaB Villa (Thomas & Betsy) stands out in the dense green fabric of Vannapuram village in Idukki, Kerala. The serene residence for Mr Akhil Thomas, sits three-tiered and tucked away from the city and is built complementing the client’s taste in contemporary style. The levels of the 2200 sq. villa is tactfully hidden from the outside, realised only through a walkthrough experience. A parametric brick wall in the elevation evolved from the concept of ripples is an added feature. The house flows effortlessly through varying volumes, committing to a refreshing experience from the get go. Light inward enters through the slit window on the top and the triangular windows along with wide openings. These vistas open up the users to the view outside which is carefully designed such that the privacy of the users aren’t compromised.
